CAR SEAT INSTALLATION TRAINING

The Monarch Fire Protection District is offering its residents Car Seat Installation Training. If you are in need of this service, please call the HQ Facility (314-514-0900) to make an appointment.  Due to the nature of the EMS business, all appointments are subject to cancellation.

Once an appointment has been scheduled, you will need to do a little prepatory work.  First of all, you will need to gather the necessary equipment (the car seat, installation/instructions manual, and the manual for the car itself).  Please make sure that the car seat is ready to be installed - i.e. remove the car seat from the packaging (box, bags, packing material, etc.).

On the day of the appointment, please arrive on time, at the scheduled engine house (we will make every effort to schedule you at the engine house closest to you).  Be sure to have all of the above listed materials and the child who will be using the car seat (this helps ensure the proper fit).

Missouri law requires that children under the age of seven (7) be restrained in a car seat.  It is in your best interests to be properly trained on the installation of your car seat.  Vehicles vary in design, and having a trained professional teach you how to install the seat in your vehicle will provide the highest level of safety for your smallest passenger!!!
